Ordering & Delivery
Once your order has been confirmed, you cannot cancel it. You may return the items for a refund within 14 days of receiving your package. If you wish to change an item in your order, please do so before confirming it.
You can pay for your order on our website via:
– Credit card (Visa, American Express, and Mastercard)
– Twint
– PayPal
– E-gift card
Our online store does not allow payment in installments.
Please note that for bank transfers, your order will only be shipped once the funds have been received in our account.
In order to minimize its environmental footprint, un chic fou delivers only within SWITZERLAND.
Click & Collect in Geneva only:
Orders are placed and paid for on the website. You will receive a message when your order is ready for pickup. You can then come pick up your order at our boutique, un chic fou, located at 8 Rue Verdaine, 1204 Geneva, during our business hours: Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM and Saturday from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Home delivery in Switzerland:
Packages are shipped within 2 business days. For engraved products, allow 5 business days; for embroidered products, allow 8 business days.
– Please allow 1 to 3 business days to receive your package after shipment.
– Shipping costs are CHF 10 for jewelry and CHF 15 for home linens. Shipping is free on orders of CHF 250 or more.
Exchanges & Returns (online store)
You have fourteen days from the date you receive your online order to return your purchases for a refund if they do not meet your expectations.
We do not offer standard exchanges. If you’d like a different size, style, or color, simply return your original item and place a new order through our online store.
The product must not have been worn, used, scratched, altered, washed, or damaged. Please be sure to place each item back in its original packaging to ensure a smooth refund process and to help our logistics team do their job.
You are responsible for return shipping costs. un chic fou be held liable for any loss of your package. We therefore recommend that you send it via registered mail so that you have a tracking number.

Only items returned to our store in excellent condition are eligible for a refund. Once we receive your package, please allow a few days for our logistics team to process it. You will receive an email notifying you once the refund has been processed, usually within a week of receipt.
Exchanges & Returns (Point of Sale)
You have 30 days after your in-store purchase to return or exchange your item for store credit or another un chic fou item if it doesn’t suit you.
We do not issue refunds in-store.
The product must not have been worn, used, scratched, altered, washed, or damaged.
The store credit is valid for thirty days from the date the item was returned and can only be used at the store where the return was made.
after-sales service
We recommend that you contact our store first. We offer a free repair service for 30 days from the date of purchase upon presentation of proof of purchase. This service is offered free of charge provided that the damage to the jewelry is due to a manufacturing defect. After this warranty period, our after-sales service can offer you a repair service for a fee, if possible. A quote will be provided for your approval before any repairs are carried out.
Our cords are made from 100% natural cotton, so wear and tear is normal and inevitable. Our online store offers a selection of cords in various colors. Otherwise, have fun! And feel free to try any string you have at home or simply go hunting for some at a fabric store!
Materials & Care
The materials used for our jewelry are:
- Solid rhodium-plated 925/1000 silver.
- 18-carat gold plating (750) on brass (5-micron plating).
- Rhodium-plated brass for certain parts.
- 18-karat gold (750) for our Prestige Collection.
Silver jewelry: Silver jewelry naturally tarnishes when exposed to air and moisture. Cleaning it occasionally with a soft cloth and/or a silver polish will keep it shiny and remove tarnish. To minimize tarnishing, store your silver jewelry in a sealed bag to protect it from air.
Gold jewelry: It is not recommended to wear jewelry while sleeping, bathing, or exercising. Also avoid contact with perfumes and cosmetics. The patina tends to fade over time. How quickly it fades depends on how the jewelry is cared for. Fading patina is the result of perfectly normal wear and tear.
Our 100% ethical and eco-friendly home linens are pre-washed to prevent shrinkage.
You can hand-wash or use the delicate cycle for items with fringe, and wash all other styles at a maximum of 40°C. We always recommend not overloading the washing machine for best results. Similarly, the linen can be tumble-dried on a delicate setting, without overloading the machine so that the items are gently tumbled. Our home linen will then regain its original softness.
Customizations
Engraving:
We carefully engrave a selection of bracelets and necklaces un chic fou. However, rings and earrings cannot be engraved.

Embroidery:
All of our linen items can be embroidered, with the exception of pouches and table baskets.

We do not offer engraving or embroidery of designs, logos, or handwritten text. Our customizations are made exclusively using standard letters, numbers, and punctuation marks ( periods, commas, etc.).
Yes, it is entirely possible to request customization in another language, as long as it uses letters from our alphabet (Latin).
Online:
For all custom orders placed online, please allow 5 business days for engraving and 8 business days for embroidery before your item is shipped.
If you choose Click & Collect, your order will be available in-store within 3 to 5 business days.
In-store:
– Engraving: Your jewelry will be ready in 1 to 3 business days.
– Embroidery: Please allow 2 to 5 business days before picking up your order in-store.
Engraving:
A supplement of CHF 10 per word will be applied for all engravings.
Embroidery:
The price varies depending on the number of letters embroidered:
– 1 to 2 letters: $25
– 3 to 6 letters: $35
– 7 to 10 letters: $45
Once your order has been confirmed, it is unfortunately no longer possible to change the customization.
However, if you have made a mistake or wish to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible at the store: if the customization has not yet begun, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Items that have been custom-made for you—that is, items that have been engraved and/or embroidered—cannot be returned for an exchange or store credit.
Gift card & E-gift card
At un chic fou, we offer two types of gift cards:
– Gift card: issued directly in store and usable only in store.
– E-gift card: ordered online and valid exclusively in our online store.
Use:
– In store: Simply present your gift card at the checkout. The available amount will be deducted from your purchase. If the balance on the card is greater than the amount of your purchase, a new card will be issued with the remaining balance (the initial validity period remains unchanged).
– Online: At checkout, select the "e-gift card" option and enter your card number. The available amount will be automatically deducted from your order total.
Yes, you can of course use your gift card multiple times until the available balance has been used up. Whether in-store or online, the available credit will be automatically deducted each time you use it.
No, the e-gift card can only be used in our online store, while the physical gift card can only be used in our brick-and-mortar store.
All our gift cards, whether physical or electronic, are valid for one year from their date of issue.
